Unni R Nair began his professional life as a teacher, even as he moonlighted as a film journalist covering the happenings in Bollywood as well as the South Indian film scene with panache.

A movie buff, Unni considers it a sacrilege to write a film review without actually taking the trouble to watch the film. He has also had a stint as a scriptwriter and PR man. He enjoys biking and is a bit of a walking encyclopedia on Malayalam cinema and its chief players.

However, any talk about politics as well as sports make him blank-eyed. He may seem introverted at the first glance, but has been known to warm up once the ice is broken.
